Great Lakes Bay Regional Wellness Alliance Statement of Purpose
The Great Lakes Bay Regional Wellness Alliance is dedicated to education. Primarily Wellness and STEM education promoting healthier lifestyles throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region and beyond. Founded in 2010, GLBRWA advocacy takes shape in the form of wellness seminars, health screenings, and by providing educational materials.
The Science of the Swing project is dedicated to improving STEM education and the STEM educational opportunities available in the region. Beginning with the simulation of golf at the Dow GLBI LPGA golf tournament our goal is to involve simulation in the STEM zone sports of hockey, baseball/softball and motorcar racing including the adaptation to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. We are developing a core STEM curriculum in the relevant disciplines.
In addition to providing education, education support, and screenings, the GLBRWA also supports various local organizations including The McLaren Foundation, Toni and Trish House for the Terminally Ill, the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA, and others.
